THE WOLF OF
Y'ALL STREET

ABOUT THE BAND

The Wolf of Y’all Street isn’t just a band; it’s a full-throttle, dirt-road, boot-stompin’ way of life. Fronted by Waylon "Big Howl" Wolfe, this East Texas native grew up with calloused hands, a stubborn heart, and a deep love for big trucks, loud guitars, and good ol’ fashioned country pride.

Waylon was raised on a cattle farm just outside of Copper Spur, Texas, where Sunday mornings were for church, Sunday afternoons were for huntin’, and Saturday nights were for belting out George Strait classics in the barn with a cooler full of cold beer and a pack of loyal buddies. His mama taught him respect, his daddy taught him hard work, and somewhere along the way, he learned how to make a guitar cry like a heartbroken coyote under a full moon.

When his high school sweetheart broke his heart and ran off with a wannabe rodeo star, Waylon did what any stubborn country boy would do: he packed his duffel, kissed his dog Duke on the head, and hopped a freight train to Nashville with nothing but a six-string and a dream.

The Wolf of Y’all Street was born that night, on a rattling train car under Tennessee stars, and the band’s been howlin’ ever since. Known for rowdy anthems like "She Likes It in 4-Wheel Drive", "Plowin' Fields After Midnight", and the crowd favorite "Shotguns, Saddles & Saturday Nights", their music is equal parts barroom brawl and back-porch wisdom.

Waylon sings with the gravel of a man who’s seen love go sideways and the grin of a guy who still believes he might find it again someday. His bandmates—each a character in their own right—keep the party rolling:

🎸 Jessie Rae "Shotgun" Smith – Lead guitarist and sharpshooter on and off the stage.

🥁 Billy "Buckshot" Thompson – Drummer, part-time deer guide, full-time wild card.

🎻 Cody Lee McBride – Fiddle player and self-declared "Professional Two-Step Consultant."

Offstage, Waylon’s happiest sitting by a campfire, dog at his feet, beer in hand, while a crackly radio plays Jimmy Buffett’s greatest hits. He’ll tell you he misses Copper Spur sometimes, but life on the road gives him stories worth singing about.

So if you like your country loud, your trucks lifted, and your nights unforgettable, grab a beer and join the pack—because The Wolf of Y’all Street is always ready to howl.
